Story Synopsis
A retired neurosurgeon in Boston inherits a battered cello that once belonged to a Holocaust survivor and decides to restore the instrument despite never having played a single note. As the wood reveals hidden inscriptions from wartime, the surgeon's methodical precision collides with a music conservatory student's passionate interpretations of grief, memory, and cultural inheritance.
