The Postcard from 1984

Story Synopsis

A veteran concierge at a grand Viennese hotel begins receiving exquisitely written postcards from a guest who, according to the registry, checked out in 1984 and has been requesting increasingly impossible room service ever since. As the requests grow stranger, the concierge must decide whether to honor them or finally report the impossible correspondence to his superiors.
