The Self-Taught Piano

Story Synopsis

Concert pianist Adeline Whitlock returns from a year-long tour to find her parlor grand performing a complex Chopin étude she has never practiced, the keys depressing themselves in flawless synchrony. Rather than summon a piano technician, she sits down with manuscript paper to transcribe the melody before it vanishes, suspecting her late mentor may be the unseen performer.
