In this C2 course, you practise the discourse of extinction and conservation—from distinguishing IUCN Red List categories and parsing IPCC hedging in climate reports, to chaining cause-and-effect structures in policy briefings. You then convert verbs into abstract nominalisations, decode passive constructions in environmental journalism, and interpret Living Planet Index data with measured scientific caution. The course culminates in a simulated public hearing on rewilding, where you argue a stakeholder position and demonstrate integrated C2 mastery in a final assessment.
